My wife and I have called the Ruapehu Region home since 2012 when I took up a job opportunity in the finance industry here.
Moving to Taumarunui felt a bit like stepping back in time (in the best possible sense). Even though I come from another small town, I have always felt a greater sense of community here. In Taumarunui it is almost impossible to walk up the street without running into a friend or acquaintance and chatting for 10 minutes. Everybody knows everybody!
My work in the finance industry has put me in touch with some wonderful people within our community and the very best part of that job was helping those very same people into a new home. It was a position that gave me a good understanding of residential lending, the local housing market and a network of great contacts.
I now bring this expertise and perspective into the real estate industry, along with marketing and communications qualifications that I feel are the perfect fit.
